Interested in upgrading your digital presence with a JMD template? Find more details and frequently asked questions below!
How does it work?

We can break down the process for purchasing and using one of our templates in a few major steps. They are:

​Select and purchase a template in our e-shop. This one is pretty simple!

Create a Wix account. Head over to Wix.com and select “Sign Up” to create an account with the email address used at checkout — this is where we’ll send your template.

Check your inbox. We’ll package up the template (with a cute digital bow) and email you an invitation to accept ownership of the site within 1-2 business days.

Customize! The template is officially yours and you are free to edit it however you see fit. Hit “Edit Site” from your Wix account dashboard and go to town — at a minimum, you’ll want to go through each page of the site (very carefully!) and replace each text box, name, photo, and media element with your own. Wix is a drag and drop editor with tons of resources and how-to’s; take advantage of those and be sure to check the mobile editor for any final adjustments.

Go LIVE. Hit the publish button in the top right corner of the editor and do a happy dance. You have a website! Connect any custom domains through a Wix premium account (we definitely recommend doing this). Celebrate your new, sleek digital presence!

Do I have to know how to code?
Nope! Not even a little bit. The entire online Wix editor is an intuitive drag and drop platform that requires zero coding ability. If you can drag and drop a text box, you’re all set! All the design work is done, but if you do decide to get creative and shake the template up, no coding is required to add your own personal touches.

Do I have to know how to design?
Also no! We’ve done all the heavy lifting for you — the layout, color codes, fonts, and mobile design have all been curated and pre-constructed for you by our design team. That being said, if you do have an eye for design (and a DIY attitude) the site is still entirely customizable, so feel free to tweak and adjust the site until it feels personal. We’d love to see what you come up with!

Will all sites look the same?
Nope! Our websites are heavily driven by media content, meaning that each page’s layout has been constructed to draw attention to YOUR unique photos and videos. We’ve learned from experience that engaging photos draw in audiences more than a unique layout. With two different layout options, five different color combinations, and your personal media content driving the first visual impression, it’s safe to say that no two sites will look the same (unless you have a secret twin somewhere). Plus, each site is fully customizable, so you certainly don’t have to stick to what we’ve designed — it’s just there to make your life easier.

Is it a one-time purchase?
Yes! The purchase of a JMD template is a one-time transaction and no retainer fees or site maintenance fees will apply. You will, however, make regular payments to Wix for a premium account membership, as well as any fees associated with maintaining your domain name if you purchased one. These are all transactions outside of JMD.
6.
How do I get a domain?
While many find the idea of finding and purchasing a custom domain daunting, it’s actually quite simple. To purchase a domain, you’ll go through a hosting service to search for and buy an available URL. You also have the option of purchasing a custom domain through Wix. Once you purchase a premium Wix account, you will be able to easily connect a custom domain name.
